Legs
Leg press: how to do it with good form
The leg press trains the thighs and glutes with the back supported, so the legs can be trained heavily without barbell experience.
How to do it
- 1
Sit with your back flat against the pad, feet shoulder-width on the plate.
- 2
Release the safety and lower the plate by bending your knees.
- 3
Go as deep as you can without your lower back lifting off the pad.
- 4
Press back up without locking your knees.
Common mistakes
- Lower back lifting off the pad at the bottom.
- Snapping the knees straight at the top.
