Exercise library: how to do each exercise

How to do each exercise with good form: an animation, the muscles it works, the steps and the mistakes that most often get in the way.

Technique is what lets you keep adding weight safely. Each guide is short on purpose — it is meant to be read between sets, not studied.

The same library is built into the Healti app, so the exercise you read about here is the one you log there, with your sets, weights and records.

Frequently asked questions

Which exercises should a beginner start with?
A squat, a hinge such as the deadlift or hip thrust, a push such as the push-up or bench press, and a pull such as the row or lat pulldown cover the whole body.
How many sets and reps should I do?
Each guide suggests a starting point. Two to four sets of 6–12 reps suits most strength and muscle goals, with the last reps feeling hard but clean.
