Seated leg curl: how to do it with good form
The seated leg curl works the hamstrings in a stretched position, making it one of the most effective leg curl variations.
How to do it
- 1
Set the machine so your knees line up with the pivot and the thigh pad sits snugly.
- 2
Place the lower pad just above your heels.
- 3
Bend your legs and pull the pad as far down as you can.
- 4
Return slowly until your legs are almost straight.
Common mistakes
- Lifting your hips off the seat.
- A short range of motion.
- Letting the weight slam back.
