Breakfast bowl with berries, granola and quark
Five minutes, no cooking, and more protein than most breakfasts twice its size.

Breakfast is where most people lose protein for the day. This bowl fixes that without asking for any real effort: quark for protein, berries for volume and flavour, granola for crunch.
Because nothing is cooked, you can weigh the parts straight into the bowl and log them as you go.
Ingredients
Servings: 1
- 200 g plain quark (2–3% fat)
- 125 g mixed berries, fresh or thawed frozen
- 30 g granola
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- Grated zest of ½ lemon (optional)
Instructions
- 1
Stir the quark until smooth and spoon it into a shallow bowl.
- 2
If you use frozen berries, let them thaw for a few minutes so the juice can run into the quark.
- 3
Top with the berries, granola and pumpkin seeds.
- 4
Finish with honey and lemon zest if you want it a little sweeter and fresher.
Good to know
- Add the granola right before eating so it stays crisp.
- Swap quark for skyr or a high protein yoghurt if that is what you have in the fridge.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I prepare it the night before?
- Yes — prepare the quark and berries and keep the granola separate until you eat, so it does not go soft.
