Most snacks are carbohydrate and fat with very little protein, which is why hunger comes straight back. This bowl flips that around and still tastes like something you look forward to.
Cinnamon and a little honey do the sweetening, so there is no need for anything processed.
Ingredients
Servings: 1
- 180 g cottage cheese (about 4% fat)
- 1 small apple, diced
- 10 g almonds, roughly chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- 1
Spoon the cottage cheese into a bowl and add a small pinch of salt.
- 2
Top with the diced apple and chopped almonds.
- 3
Dust with cinnamon and add honey if you want it sweeter.
Good to know
- Blend the cottage cheese smooth first if you dislike the texture.
- Swap the apple for pear or berries depending on the season.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I take it to work?
- Yes. Keep the apple and almonds in a separate pot and mix them in when you eat so nothing goes soft.
